Giant Pumpkin Carving

Event Description:

Russ Leno, Master Pumpkin Carver, will begin carving our GIANT pumpkin at 11:30 am on October 31st. Carving will continue a day.

• Stop by between 12 pm and 6 pm, and Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin. Anyone who wants to participate must snap a picture with the giant pumpkin and submit their guess along with the photo to Uptown’s social media by tagging @UptownGigHarbor or email the photo with the guess to [email protected]. The winner will be announced on November 3rd.

• Between 3:30 pm and 5 pm, drop your pre-carved pumpkin at the pavilion to enter our Pumpkin Carving contest. Pumpkins will be left at the pavilion while you trick or treat. The Master Pumpkin Carver will select the winner at 5:30 pm. The winning pumpkin will receive a prize. You must be present to win. All pumpkins must be taken home that evening.ay. He will be here starting at 10 am – 4:30 pm on Oct. 31st, 2022.

I drove around the Gig Harbor area for awhile yesterday. I should look up whether uptown is the mall/shopping center across … More Hwy 16 from the town proper. The town is cozy, funny thing to say, but yeah. I have been to the marina area thirty years ago. The town looked about the same, clean, organized and inviting. If i say it's probably geared to tourists that's not a bad thing. Good place to stroll the curving streets and check out the unusual shops. I think i saw a sign that said, Psychic Boutique. It really got me to wondering.
