The Uptown Summer Concert Series

What better way to kick off summer in Gig Harbor than with the Uptown Summer Concert Series? Music has the unique ability to connect, inspire, and entertain. And this beloved concert series is no exception.
Hosted every Thursday night from July 7th through August 11th, the 2022 Summer Concert Series offers a variety of musical performances spanning multiple genres. Concerts are located in the pavilion at the Uptown shopping center from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Guests are welcome to join in the fun free of charge!

Looking for more live entertainment? Head over to Skansie Brothers Park every Tuesday for another summer concert series that’s sure to please. Guests can arrive by land or by sea (boat). Performances start at 6:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM but spectators are welcome to stay and mingle both before and after the music ends.

Are you ready to shop till you drop this summer? The Uptown Sidewalk Sale runs from July 15th until the 17th throughout the iconic Uptown Shopping Center.
Stores open their doors and take their merchandise to the streets for a day of leisurely browsing, strolling, and shopping. With dozens of boutiques selling hundreds of products, you’re sure to find something for everyone in the family.
The sale starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 6:00 PM, giving guests plenty of time to explore everything these awesome merchants have to offer.

While there’s plenty of family-friendly fun to be had in the Gig Harbor area, this summer event is designed for guests 21 and older. Uptown is proud to present its first annual Summer Sips event on Saturday, July 9th. Starting at 12:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM, you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon sampling locally crafted libations.
This summer event is brought to you by the same team that hosts Cider Swig. So, get ready for a day filled with delicious spirits, live music, and mouth-watering food options from the nearby Uptown restaurants.
Vendors will be pouring ciders, beer, wine, and liquor to please every palate. With over 60 seasonal delicacies to try, you can sample ciders, spirits, sodas, kombucha, and more! Once you find your favorite flavors, head over to the Sips Pop-Up Bottle Shop and grab a bottle (or two) to bring home and enjoy all summer long.
When you’re not taste-testing your way around the event, you can stop in the nearby shops. Summer Sips is being hailed as the “taste n’ shop” event of the summer and one that you won’t want to miss!
Summer Arts Festival

From craft beverages to arts and crafts, the Summer Arts Festival is back and open all summer long. Starting on July 16th and running until mid-November, this event is hosted in Downtown Gig Harbor and attracts vendors and creative artists from the local and surrounding areas.
The Peninsula Art League is thrilled to announce the return of this beloved event after a two-year hiatus. If you’ll be in the Gig Harbor area on July 16th and 17th, you won’t want to miss this large-scale event and all its beautiful and unique creations.
Guests can browse over 120 arts and crafts vendors, plus enjoy delicious food and plenty of fun activities for the kids, including a literary corner. The festival is held on Judson Street, just one block from Gig Harbor’s historic waterfront. Families with love the complimentary shuttle service to and from this location.

Summer Swing Golf Tournament

This summer, the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 35th Annual Summer Swing Golf Tournament on Friday, July 28th. Hosted at the area’s prestigious Canterwood Golf & Country Club, golfers of all skill levels are welcome.
With over 140 players ranging from executives and entrepreneurs to business owners and high-level managers, this golf tournament is a great way to mingle, network, and just have fun! Sign-up as a single player for $175 or register a team of 4 for $700.
This entry fee includes 18-holes of golf, a cart, beer, lunch, and a delicious dinner to end the day. Register by June 24th to reserve your spot.
Cruise the Narrows Car Show

Why not cap the summer off with the Cruise the Narrows Car Show? Hosted at Uptown Gig Harbor on August 6th, this family-friendly car show features all-day fun, food, and entertainment.
Starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 3:00 PM guests can admire hundreds of vehicles, from vintage classics to modern luxury cars. All makes and models are welcome. While there’s a $20 registration fee for vehicles, this event is free for spectators.
All proceeds benefit the Gig Harbor Cruisers Scholarship Fund, which supports local youth programs and future automotive careers. Sponsors of this event include Fondi Pizzeria and the Heritage Distilling Company.
Blackberry Festival

Celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Pierce County Fair from August 11th – 14th at Frontier Park in Graham, WA. With 4 days full of events for the whole family, everyone is bound to find something to enjoy. The Pierce County Fair is proud to celebrate rural life, agriculture, and good ol’ family values.
In full County Fair flair, you can find professional Bubble Blowers, Jugglers, and Hula Hoopers. Along with family friendly bands and of course, the food. Nestled amongst the pines and green grass of Frontier Park, you can spend the day mingling and even watching the events at 4-H Arena.

Fox Island Yacht Club has one of the biggest music Gig Harbor festivals – the 2022 Summer Music Festival. This year’s event will happen on July 23 and will feature The Beatniks, Joel Gibson, Jr., and more. There will be food trucks, a bar, and a return to the beauty of the Fox Island Yacht Club after two years away.
This is an annual event at Fox Island Yacht Club (FIYC) which is located on 17 acres on beautiful Cedrona bay.
Olympia Harbor Days Festival

Wrap up the summer Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2nd – 4th, 2022, at the Olympia Harbor Days Festival brought to the community by the South Sound Maritime Heritage Association Event. This free event started in 1974 and for it’s nearly 50 year tradition has showcased vintage tug boats, tall ships, steam ships, and other historic vessels of the 20th century commerce in the Puget Sound.
With over 250 things to see and do during this event, you can choose to partake in the events on land or on water, including tours of the tugboats, cruises, and even tug boat races. While on land, you can enjoy the largest local showing of arts, crafts, commercial and local non-profit vendors booths. Oh, come hungry, too, because there will be plenty of great food, and music to listen to with your friends and family.

Lakewood Summer Fest
